Creating Jobs and Investing in Research and Development

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that Grow Therapy (Grow), a mental health platform delivering in-person and online therapy and psychiatric care, will expand again in New York City with a new office of more than 78,000 square feet at 145 Delancey Street on the Lower East Side. The latest expansion will see the company create 123 new full-time jobs, invest $9.9 million in research and development, and invest an additional $15 million to build out the new space. Empire State Development is supporting the project with up to $1.4 million in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits. Combined with the prior expansion project announced in November 2025, Grow has now committed to creating 309 new jobs, retaining 94 jobs, and investing $40.9 million in its New York operations.

“New York City continues to be where ambitious companies come to grow, innovate and build for the future,” Governor Hochul said. “Grow Therapy’s decision to deepen its roots here reflects the strength of our talent and innovation economy, and we are proud to support a company using technology to expand access to mental health care while creating new opportunities for New Yorkers.”

Empire State Development President, CEO and Commissioner Hope Knight said, “Under Governor Hochul’s leadership, New York continues to create the conditions for innovative companies like Grow Therapy to expand, invest and create jobs here. Grow’s latest expansion will deepen the company’s roots in New York City while supporting new technology that can help improve access to high-quality mental health care.”

Grow Therapy Chief Financial Officer Seth Bressack said, “When I joined Grow this year, the momentum was already underway. Sustaining it is our top priority, and New York is our center of gravity: what we build in this city reaches everyone we serve in all 50 states. The talent is here, the clients are here, and now more of the jobs will be too. And as a long-time Lower East Side resident myself, I’m incredibly proud to see Grow set down roots here. We’re grateful to Governor Hochul and Empire State Development for their partnership.”

The new positions will span technology, marketing and operations, supporting Grow’s continued expansion and development of its mental health care platform. The project builds on Governor Hochul’s announcement in November 2025, when Grow committed to relocate its headquarters from SoHo to 100 Broadway, create at least 186 jobs over five years and invest $16 million in research and development.

Grow’s additional $9.9 million research and development investment will support continued development of technology and AI tools designed to assist clinicians and improve the delivery of care.

Under Governor Hochul’s leadership, New York State has continued to support a growing wave of innovative companies choosing to expand, invest and create jobs in New York City. Recent Empire State Development-supported expansions by WithCoverage, Clay, PayPal, Bilt, Coinbase, ElevenLabs, Figma, Kraken and Radical AI are bringing new jobs, research and development activity and private investment to the city. Grow’s latest investment adds to that momentum and reinforces New York City’s position as a global center for technology, finance and innovation, where companies can tap into an unmatched concentration of talent, capital and ideas to scale their businesses and build for the future.
